A 28-year-old man was seriously injured late Thursday night after his car crashed into a tree on the Rambla Medular in Arrecife, leaving him trapped inside the vehicle.
The accident happened at around 11:10 p.m., near the library. According to reports, firefighters described it as a high-impact collision, with the front of the car sustaining severe damage after striking the tree.
When emergency crews arrived, paramedics were already treating the driver, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant and remained trapped inside.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle before carrying out an emergency extraction in coordination with medical personnel due to the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
Once freed from the wreckage, the driver was taken to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital suffering from severe multiple injuries.
