Cruise activity at the ports in Arrecife continues to grow as it registered a 192.2% increase in arrival of cruise passengers in October compared to the month previous.
Arrecife’s ports (Naos and Los Mármoles) have received a total of 287,995 passengers up to October this year. Of this total, 51,504 were received in October, which represents an increase of 37.7% compared to October 2022.
These statistics, released yesterday by the Las Palmas Port Authority (APL) and processed by the Lanzarote Data Centre, reveal that Arrecife continues to grow in the arrival of transatlantic tourism, being one of the main ports in the Canary Islands.
Last year Arrecife received 335,239 passengers between January and December. This year the ports have already recorded 287,995 passengers, an increase of 77.8% compared to the same period last year.
Arrecife Ayuntamiento are currently carrying out a series of works to modernise its seafront, in the area around El Reducto beach, in order to revitalise the capital. These works were put into action to improve the image of the island’s capital in its tourist, commercial and hospitality areas.
