Lanzarote has 18 new local police officers across Teguise, Tías, San Bartolomé and Yaiza.

Teguise recently inaugurated 4 new local officers, who will begin to serve in the municipality at the end of the year.

Tias celebrated the addition of 4 new local officers “in which they will contribute to improve the quality of life and welfare of those who live in the municipality and those who visit us,” stated the mayor, José Juan Cruz.

San Bartolomé inaugurated 6 new agents and the mayor, Isidro Pérez, stated that “it will be possible to continue guaranteeing the security in the municipality and the protection of the neighbours, being a reinforcement to the great service performed by the agents who make up the current staff”.

And lastly, Yaiza has announced that it has 4 new trainee officers as mayor, Óscar Noda, stated “the Ayuntamiento guarantees to all the Local Police the provision of technical resources so that our agents can fulfil their duties. We have asked the new officers loyalty with the institution and with the citizens of Yaiza”.
