17-year-old scooter rider seriously injured

A 17-year-old youth has been seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while riding his scooter yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 4.30 pm near the petrol station in Mácher and emergency services immediately rushed to the scene.

On arrival, paramedics discovered that the young man had suffered a serious head injury and was in cardiac arrest. They successfully managed to resuscitate him, and he was rushed to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital in a “critical” state.
