The Canarian Government will allocate almost 800,000 euros towards acquiring 128 new ultrasound scanners for health centres on all of the Canary Islands, with 11 coming to Lanzarote.

The supply and installation of the new ultrasound scanners will be carried out this year and into 2025. Of the 128 machines, 46 will go to Tenerife, 46 to Gran Canaria, 11 to Lanzarote, 9 to Fuerteventura, 8 to La Palma, 6 to La Gomera and 2 to El Hierro.

The company awarded with the contract will also have to provide training for health centre workers in order to be able to use the new ultrasound scanners.
