Tías Local Police have filed reports against two businesses in Puerto del Carmen following alleged breaches involving the sale of alcohol to minors and operating outside permitted hours.
Tías Local Police have reported the owners of two establishments in Puerto del Carmen for alleged violations relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and operating beyond permitted opening hours.
The action follows increased surveillance and enforcement by Tías Ayuntamiento and the Local Police across parts of the municipality during the summer season, particularly in busy areas and around commercial and entertainment establishments.
Tías Mayor José Juan Cruz Saavedra stated that “the protection of minors and compliance with regulations are priorities for the Tías Ayuntamiento, and the Local Police maintain particularly intensive surveillance and enforcement efforts during the summer months.”
Cruz Saavedra added that “we cannot allow minors easy access to alcohol, nor can we allow certain establishments to operate in violation of the established hours.”
He said the measures taken by the Local Police “are part of a preventive and enforcement effort aimed at ensuring safety, peaceful coexistence, and compliance with the rules in our municipality.”
The mayor also expressed his gratitude for “the work carried out by Local Police officers, especially during this busy time of year.”
He reminded businesses and residents that “the cooperation of businesses and all citizens is essential to ensuring a safe and responsible environment, especially for our minors.”
