Emergency Search Launched at El Golfo After Woman Reported Swept Away by Wave

Emergency services launched a search yesterday at El Golfo after a woman was reported to have been hit by a wave. 

A call was received at 5.45 pm, when a person reported having seen a woman being hit by a wave and not coming put of the water afterwards. Local police, Guardia Civil agents, firefighters, Emerlan and Maritime Rescue operatives then launched a search, aided by a rescue helicopter.

However, no sign of any missing person was located. A decision will be taken on whether to continue the search today, given that no reports of a missing person have been made.
