Tías Ayuntamiento has extended its warm appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the Puerto del Carmen Carnival.
In a public statement, the council expressed sincere gratitude to the individuals, groups, associations, law enforcement agencies, and services involved in organising and executing the celebrations. The smooth running of the event was attributed to collaboration and the exemplary engagement of spectators, which ensured a festive environment marked by harmony and positive energy.
Saturday’s parade was a vibrant highlight, featuring 21 Carnival groups – including murgas, comparsas, batucadas, and other ensembles – alongside 27 floats. This colourful spectacle drew thousands of spectators, who were commended for their excellent behaviour. The council noted that the audience’s conduct played a decisive role in fostering an atmosphere of wholesome entertainment.
Special recognition was reserved for the security forces, with over 40 officers from the Local Police of Tías, the Civil Guard, and the Canarian Police working diligently to maintain safety and tranquillity throughout the events. The council also thanked Civil Protection and health services for their essential support, as well as the cleaning teams who kept public roads in pristine condition. Municipal staff were praised for coordinating traffic closures, which were vital to the carnival’s smooth operation.
Reiterating its thanks, Tías Ayuntamiento emphasised that the triumph of the Puerto del Carmen Carnival stems from a unified effort and a shared dedication to festivities that are safe, inclusive, and of the highest quality.
