Canarian Vice President Manuel Domínguez yesterday confirmed that the Canarian Government would foot most of the bill for the planned “ecoboulevard” leading from the Charco de San Ginés to the Open Mall in Arrecife.
The project, which will take place along C/Pérez Galdos will cost €3.2 million, two-thirds of which will be provided by the regional government as “a commitment to small and medium businesses.”
The boulevard will begin at Cuatro Esquinas near the Charco de San Ginés and carry on uphill towards the roundabout near the Trafico department, providing access to Valterra health centre and the planned extension to the Open Mall.
Arrecife Mayor Yonathan de León said he hoped the time limit for completion once the contract has been awarded would be eleven months
