Tías local police had a busy day yesterday, with three arrests for various crimes.
A suspect was arrested for driving without a licence and public health offences, after various bags of cocaine were found in his car.
Later, another man was arrested for driving his vehicle at a woman, seriously injuring her and killing both her dogs. He is being investigated on domestic violence charges.
Finally, a suspect has been questioned following the vandalism of a mural that was created by migrants on the wall of the Conecta Tías building on C/César Manrique in Puerto del Carmen.
The mural was designed by local artist JUIN and created by local youths and migrants in order to cause “refection and unity” on the theme of immigration. It was damaged with black spray paint, and police are considering whether the offence also constitutes a hate crime.
