Lanzarote’s hotels accommodated 3% fewer travellers last April, compared to April 2023, and recorded a 5% increase in income.

The 78 hotels on Lanzarote accommodated 3% fewer travellers last April (173,473) compared to the same month last year (177,964). Hotel occupancy remained relatively the same, 81.67% this year compared to 82.22% last year.

The 5% increase in income, despite fewer travellers, is due to the average rate rising by 3% (to €125,15 from €121,72 last year). In total, Lanzarote’s hotels recorded €57,156,652 last month, and €54,218,116 last year.

Hotel employment increased by 11% in April this year, from 8,618 workers last year to 9,541 this year.
