Cruise ship passenger rescued

Salvamento Marítimo were called to a cruise ship near Arrecife in the early hours of this morning after a report that one of the passengers required medical attention.

In the early hours of this morning, Salvamento Marítimo were alerted to a cruise ship eight nautical miles from Arrecife to attend a passenger the required medical attention.

The emergency team were asked to transport the passenger from the Marella Explorer cruise ship to the Arrecife Marina to be treated for a minor health issue.

Once they arrived at the Arrecife Marna, an ambulance was waiting for the passenger and medical staff got to work.
