A cyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car on the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
The incident took place shortly after midnight on Saturday, when the 45-year-old cyclist was involved in a collision with a car.
Emergency services discovered that he had suffered a serious head injury, and he was transferred immediately to the hospital in Arrecife.
