The latest opinion poll by the Centre of Sociological Research indicates that the Canarian Socialists under Ángerl Victor Torres are likely to increase their winning margin in the regional elections of 28th May.
The poll puts the Socialists’ share of the vote at between 29% and 36%, (in 2019 they won 28%). The PP are predicted to become the second most-voted party, with 17-23% of the vote (in 2019 they won 15%).
The main losers are forecast to be the Coalición Canaria, who could lose up to a third of their vote. Meanwhile, the centre-right Ciudadanos party, which won 7% of the vote four years ago are predicted to almost disappear completely.
