The National Police are searching for two hooded men who assaulted and attempted to rob a bus driver at the Arrecife bus station this Tuesday.
At approximately 11:20ppm a bus driver was assaulted by two men as they attempted to steal his possessions ten minutes before his shift.
CCOO representative for IntercityBus, Ricardo Hernández, told local news outlet La Voz that the two men pushed the driver to the ground and hit him on the head.
The men were unable to rob the driver as they were chased off by two bystanders.
Hernández has called for immediate action to the “desperate” situation that they find themselves in and demands that the Cabildo place security at the stops/stations in which most incidents occur.
