Yaiza Ayuntamiento have installed four bicycle maintenance points in Playa Blanca that allows cyclists to carry out maintenance and repair work on their bikes in the event on an issue while riding.
The stations are equipped with pumps to inflate the tyres and tools to apply any other changes. Additionally, the stations allow cyclists to suspend their bikes at eye level to make maintenance easier.
Yaiza’s sports councillor, Ángel Lago, stated that “we have installed two points in Playa Blanca, one on the new link road which has a cycle lane, at the beginning of the urbanización Marcastell, and another in the Parque Atlántico. Another point has been installed in Yaiza and one more in Uga, as both locations have a high number of cyclists passing through.”
