Last night, the Cabildo building in Arrecife turned pink in recognition of World Breast Cancer Day.

The front of the Cabildo building was illuminated in pink to show solidarity with those suffering from breast cancer on World Breast Cancer Day.

Throughout the night until 8am this morning, the building remained pink. Cabildo President, María Dolores Corujo, highlighted the importance of “raising awareness of all those who have suffered or are suffering from breast cancer and of insisting on prevention, as regular check-ups can help detect cancer and provide treatments options at an early stage.”.

The illumination was in collaboration with the Spanish Assocation Against Cancer in Lanzarote, under this year’s slogan “Pink is more than a colour” (#ElRosaesMásqueunColor).
