Over 2,000 new doses of vaccines have been administered on Lanzarote since the end of last month.
The Canarian Government recently announced that new doses of the vaccine would be made available to the most vulnerable group (80+ years) and would be made available to other groups as they progressed.
Last week, the Canarian Health Service announced that the new doses are available to the over-60s group who has gone more than give months since the last jab. If a patient has suffered a Covid infection, the booster will not be given until three months after recovery.
To receive the new vaccine, people over the age of 60 must make an appointment via the MiCitaPrevia app or by calling 012 (928 301 012).
