The Lanzarote Tourism Federation has criticised the decision of the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism (CACT) to be the exclusive sellers of online tickets to the island’s seven official tourist centres.

“We’re glad to see a change to digital,” said the Federation’s President Susana Pérez. “But this does not have to be incompatible with the sales of tickets by travel agents and tour operators.”

Pérez claims that the decision renders it impossible for the tourist centres to form part of packages that travel agents put together for individual clients – “And these are exactly the type of premium clients that the island wants to arrive.”
