Lanzarote tourism continues to rise as October recorded a 42% increase of tourists compared to the previous month.

The recent figures published by the Lanzarote Data Centre show that international tourism has nearly doubled compared to the month previous. Comparing October 2021 to October 2020 shows that this month has seen a considerable increase.

So far, October has been the busiest month for international tourism in Lanzarote as the month just edged February 2020’s figure. The island recorded a total of 215,647 tourists, of which the UK accounted for just over 40%.

National tourism had doubled compared to October 2020. In fact, this Octobers figures show that it had even surpassed 2019’s pre-Covid figures of 21,546.

Despite British tourism recording a 46% increase on arrivals compared to September, this Octobers figures (89,640 arrivals) are still a ways away from 2019’s figure of 128,197 British tourists.
