Person rescued from boat fire

Emerlan were called to a boat and its sole crewmember on Monday night, after a report about a fire on board.

At approximately 10:50pm, Emerlan were called to a boat in distress off the coast of Lanzarote. Upon arrival the rescue team found the sole crewmember on the boat which had suffered a fire in the engine room.

No injuries were reported. The boat and its crewmember were brought back to the island at almost midnight.
