Yaiza Mayor Óscar Noda has renewed the council’s request for authorisation to renovate the playground in El Golfo, with the municipality planning to invest 376,000 euros in the project.

Yaiza Ayuntamiento has formally asked the Cabildo to approve plans for a new playground in the coastal village of El Golfo.

The proposed playground would be built in the same location as the existing facility, without extending its current footprint.

“We submitted the technical proposal in July. We need the Cabildo’s approval to proceed,” the mayor stated.

Rubén Arca, Yaiza’s Councillor for Parks and Gardens, said: “The project is planned for the same area as the current park, without taking up a single additional meter, and it is part of the municipal program to modernize and install children’s play areas, which improves public facilities.”

The project forms part of Yaiza’s project to modernise and install children’s play areas.
