The Cabildo of Lanzarote will today approve agreements with the Canarian Government that will permit the drafting of tourist modernization plans for Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise.
The approval will permit the Cabildo to contract the necessary professionals to draw up the plans.
Cabildo President Oswaldo Betancort said, “The ability for the Cabildo itself to formulate these documents will speed things up and allow us to go ahead with greater knowledge of the territory and the real needs of each resort.”.
It is the third modernization plan that Costa Teguise will have seen, while Playa Blanca’s plan is regarded as vital, given that the General Plan for Yaiza has recently been annulled,
Tourism Modernisation and Improvement Plans aim to improve the quality of tourist establishments and complementary offerings, improve the image of established resorts, and reinforce public services and facilities.
