The red flag has been raised over Playa Blanca’s town beach after swimmers suffered from rashes after bathing.
The Red Cross raised the red warning flag, which forbids bathing, after their lifesavers reported skin rashes in bathers who had been bathing at the beach, as well as in their own employees who entered the water to assist.
Tests are being carried out to determine the source of the contamination.
