Arrecife welcomed almost 72,300 cruise passengers in April, according to figures published by the Port Authority of Las Palmas. Although this total was lower than the numbers recorded during the previous three months, it still represented an improvement compared to April 2025.
During the first four months of the year, cruise passenger numbers reached 394,000, marking an increase of 18.6%. If this trend continues, Arrecife could end 2026 with more than 700,000 cruise visitors.
Meanwhile, passenger numbers on scheduled ferry services have shown signs of stagnation this year. Just 21,200 passengers used these services during the first four months of 2026, a decline of 15.8% compared to the same period last year. The reduction has also had a direct effect on vehicle traffic.
