From powerhouse vocals to outrageous comedy, one intimate venue is proving that unforgettable nights out don’t need a giant theatre.
Some holidays are remembered for the beaches. Others for the restaurants. But for plenty of visitors to Puerto del Carmen, one of the lasting memories is spending an evening laughing until their cheeks hurt inside Guapatini’s Show Bar.
Behind the fabulous wigs and sequins is performer Paul Burnham, whose career has included London’s West End, television presenting and film work before bringing Guapatini to Lanzarote. Decades of professional entertainment are packed into every performance, with the show’s fast pace keeping audiences laughing while mixing classic showmanship with modern humour.
Shows take place every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with doors opening at 8pm and performances beginning at 9pm. Guests enjoy full table service throughout the evening while settling in for more than two hours of songs, comedy and fabulous costume changes.

THE CONTESSA WANTS YOU!
Away from the stage, Guapatini’s is preparing for an exciting expansion with the development of a brand-new production. To help bring it to life, the venue hopes to audition a charismatic young male singer in his 20s who has a strong voice, confidence on stage and, above all, plenty of personality.
A background in British humour would be helpful, although applications from all nationalities are welcome provided candidates speak English confidently. Successful applicants must already be resident in Lanzarote and legally entitled to work in Spain.
Anyone interested is encouraged to send information about themselves, along with short videos showcasing both an emotional performance and an upbeat show tune, to guapatinis2@icloud.com.
