After an investment from the Arrecife Ayuntamiento of 300,000 euros, to carry out a profound transformation of the Plaza Pedro Alcántara, the refurbishment is entering the final stages.

Recently the Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, visited the Plaza Pedro Alcántara to check up on the profound transformation being carried out by the Ayuntamiento.
Pérez expressed her satisfaction “because we are soon going to recover a very precious place in the city, which has been the victim of continuous deterioration for years due to the neglect and abandonment of those who have had the responsibility to look after it, which will now be enjoyed by all citizens.”.
The new Plaza Pedro Alcántara will have an “innovative sustainable drainage system that will allow for the watering of garden areas with rainwater stored in a large underground reservoir under the square.”.
