Playa Blanca will celebrate cultures from around the globe next month as the Ritmos del Mundo 2026 festival brings three days of dance, music and international cuisine to the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca.
Organised by Yaiza Ayuntamiento, the event invites residents and visitors from across Lanzarote to enjoy a varied programme of performances and activities between 2 and 4 October.
The festival opens on Friday, 2 October, with a dance programme beginning at 5pm. Performances include Irish dance, Arabic dance by Samira Rif, Argentinian dance, Bollywood, Chinese dance, modern dance by Ritmos Latinos, Spanish flamenco, Canarian folklore from Agrupancion Folklorica Rubicon, and a World Dance finale.
On Saturday, 3 October, the focus shifts to live music, starting at 5pm with Canarian folklore from Grupo Folklorico Tinasoria. The evening programme also features Flamenco en Vivo, Latin music, K-Pop, The Lonestar Rider (American Cowboys), Mariachi and Skatoons.
The festival concludes on Sunday, 4 October, with a celebration of international cuisine. From 11am to 3pm, visitors will have the opportunity to sample foods from different countries.
