A nine-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Tías on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 5:30pm on calle La Luchada. Local police officers, two ambulances and a doctor from the Tías Health Centre attended the scene.
The doctor, who was in the area when the accident happened, attempted to resuscitate the girl.
Medical personnel continued attempts to revive her after arriving at the scene, but their efforts were unsuccessful and her death was confirmed.
