The emergency services were alerted to the Casa del Mar migrant youth centre in Arrecife last night after reports of a mattress fire.
The centre had to be evacuated last night after a mattress had caught fire in one of the rooms. According to reports one or more mattresses had caught fire.
The emergency services were quick to act and coordinated an evacuation of the building as fire fighters entered to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at the time of writing.
