Yesterday afternoon saw hour long queues at the Cueva de los Verdes, with the arrival of Easter tourism being noticed in all tourist centres as longer waiting times become the norm again.

Yesterday, at the popular Cueva de los Verdes tourist attraction, patient visitors had to wait an hour in line to experience the cave. Elsewhere, tourists had to wait up to two hours to access Timanfaya National Park.

The arrival of Easter tourism has resulted in many places around the island being busier than ever. Around 2000 flights are expected to arrive during this Easter break.

Coincidentally the weather has picked up just in time for the arrival of many tourists. Previous weeks had seen the island tackling colder temperatures and the odd shower, whereas the coming week sees a potential heatwave to hit the island.
