Injured sheep rescued on montaña de Tahíche

A disoriented and injured sheep was safely rescued from the summit of a mountain in Tahíche on Friday, 16 January.

Emergency services mobilised to the mountain after receiving a report from the Teguise Local Police. Upon reaching the remote location near the peak, the specialist team secured the stranded animal and carefully transported it down to the foot of the mountain.

Teguise Ayuntamiento’s Animal Welfare Service was waiting to take immediate custody of the sheep for necessary veterinary attention and ongoing care.
