The CACT along with the Lanzarote Cabildo have put together a plan on their website detailing the technical and administrative specifications for a contract to supply six new hybrid tour buses that run through the park.

With a budget of 1.8 million euros, the CACT have published a document on their website detailing the requirements for a contract to replace the Timanfaya tour buses which have been operating for an average of 15 years.

CACT want to replace the buses with more modern, safer, more efficient and environmentally friendly fleet.

President of the Lanzarote Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, stated that the contract will “support and reinforces our commitment to a new model of public transport, more sustainable, efficient and respectful to the environment.”.

CACT CEO, Benjamín Perdomo, explained that “the environmental conditions of the surroundings and the unique route through the volcanoes require us to have a more modern vehicle.”.
