Spain’s best known film director, Pedro Almodóvar, is currently spending a holiday on Lanzarote.
The Oscar-winning director was spotted in the Las Dunas restaurant in Famara, where he posed for photos with the Canarian musicians who perform live.
Almodóvar is a long-standing fan of the island, and has returned here several times. On one occasion he was visiting El Golfo whenhe saw a couple kissing on the black sand beach. This inspired his 2009 romance, Los Abrazos Rotos, starring Penelopé Cruz, which he partially filmed on the island.
