“It is with great pride that we witness this tribute to the artisans of the island [and the other islands] and the traditional artistic works that will be on display until September 15th,” stated the Cabildo president during the inauguration of the Mancha Blanca Crafts Fair.

“This edition is very special for everyone, which has a focus on sustainability, with a focus on improving environmental care during the Fair and provides a well-deserved tribute to the artisans who have contributed to enlarge the artisan history of Lanzarote,” Corujo added.

Crafts Councillor, Carmen Guadalupe, welcomed visitors to the Fair and highlighted the effort made by the Cabildo to have a larger, modern, and unrestricted event. “We went from just over 80 artisans to almost a hundred, coming from almost all the Islands “, she pointed out.

The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, highlighted the coordination between institutions and encouraged everyone to participate in a fair “that will surprise them”.
