Arrecife’s fourth annual book fair begins

Arrecife’s fourth annual book fair starts today and will continue over the weekend.

This year, the “Fiera del Libro” is being held in tribute to Félix Hormiga, the tireless writer and publisher who died last year. Among special guests attending will be the respected novelist and journalist Juan José Millas and bestselling authors Elísabet Benavent and Marta Jiménez.

As usual, there’ll be several bookstalls set up on Arrecife’s seafront, in the Parque José Ramírez Cerda, offering a unique chance to meet local publishers and writers. Even if your Spanish isn’t too good, you’ll find it a friendly and cosmopolitan affair, giving a great glimpse of Lanzarote’s lively literary culture.
