Hotels in Lanzarote generated €66.6 million in revenue during April, €5.3 million more than in the same month last year, according to data from the Lanzarote Data Centre.

The average hotel room rate stood at €152.64 in April. Although this was lower than February’s €155 average and March’s €160.50, it represented a 5% increase compared to April 2025, when the average rate was €145.30.

Hotels on the island also welcomed almost 12,000 more guests than a year earlier. A total of 181,338 visitors stayed in Lanzarote hotels last month, compared to 169,869 in April 2025.

Overnight stays surpassed one million in April, marking an increase of nearly 40,000 stays compared to the same month last year.

The growth in tourism activity was also reflected in employment figures. Hotels employed 11,184 workers in April, almost 2,000 more than during the same period in 2025.

Visitors stayed an average of 7.1 days, while hotel occupancy reached 77%, both figures remaining almost unchanged from last year.

The stable occupancy rate was attributed to an increase in hotel capacity, with nearly 2,000 additional tourist beds available. Lanzarote’s hotels offered a total of 43,869 beds last month.
