Lanzarote is home to one of the toughest Ironman courses in the world. You don’t have to be a professional to ride it, but you do need a good bike and a bit of determination. Bike Sensations runs regular road bike tours every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the legendary Ironman route is often on the menu.
These tours cover around 60 to 70 kilometres, with elevation ranging from 700 to 1100 metres depending on the day. The pace depends on the group, so you’ll never feel left behind or held back. It’s challenging, yes, but also incredibly rewarding. You’ll cycle past vineyards, volcanic cones, and coastline that seems to go on forever.
The price for the guided tour is just 29 euros per person, plus bike hire. And what a bike it is.
