Tias Ayuntamiento has just released the full programme of events for the festive period. Here it is in English.
Thursday 4th
6:00pm – Inauguration of the Belen (Nativity Scene), with performance from the Rancho de Pascua de Haria. At the Plaza Iglesia de San Antonio
7:30pm – Christmas light switch on event with performances from groups Teguey and Almudena Hernandez. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo (Ermita de San Antonio.)
Friday 5th
6pm – Mass and inauguration of the Belen (Nativity Scene). At the Iglesia de La Candelaria.
7:30pm – Inauguration of the Puerto del Carmen Belen (Nativity Scene), with performance from the Asociacion Coral de Arrecife. Outside the Iglesia de la Tinosa.
Saturday 6th
7pm – Opera performance at the Teatro Municipal de Tias.
Thursday 11th
4:30pm – Inauguration of the 3rd annual Christmas Market. At the Plaza de las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen.
Friday 12th
8pm – Christmas Festival from the Beatrice Senent School of Dance. At the Teatro Municipal.
Saturday 13th
6pm – Children’s show “Alice in Wonderland” by The Lanzarote Theatre School. At the Teatro Municipal.
Tuesday 16th
6:30pm – Christmas Exhibition by the Escuela de Artes Escencias de Lanzarote. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo.
Wednesday 17th
6:30pm – Christmas Zumba in Tias with Fernando Petit. At the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Tias.
Thursday 18th
5pm – Musical “A mi Estrella” by the Escuela de danza de Tania Marcer. At the Teatro Municipal.
Friday 19th
6pm – Young persons activities at the Plaza El Pavon. Until the 30th.
Saturday 20th
5pm – Children’s workshop “my first bauble”. With a visit from Mickey and Minnie mouse. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo.
6pm – Live musical performance. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo.
Tuesday 23rd
5pm – Santa Claus visits Tias. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo.
8pm – Performance from the Ranchos de Pascua. At the Iglesia de La Candelaria.
Thursday 25th
7pm – Christmas Mass. At the Iglesia de Puerto del Carmen.
8pm – Meeting of the Coral Marina de Puerto del Carmen and In Dolce Jubilo. At the Iglesia de Puerto del Carmen.
Friday 26th
7:30pm – Performance from the Voces de Tias choir. At the Teatro Municipal.
Saturday 27th
Christmas Run. At the Plaza de Las Naciones. Registration at tripasioneventos.com
Wednesday 31st
11:30pm – New Year’s party. At the Plaza del Varadero with performances by DJ Angel Perez and more.
1am – Fireworks display along the Avenida de las Playas.
Friday 2nd
6pm – Theatrical performance “The Last Train”. At the Teatro Municipal.
Saturday 3rd
5pm – Children’s workshop “The royal breakfast factory”. Visit from Elsa and Olaf from Frozen at 5:30pm. At the Plaza Leandro Fajardo.
8pm – Theatrical performance “Fum, Fum, Fum” by D&M Producciones. Recommended for ages 16 and up. At the Teatro Municipal.
Sunday 4th
12 noon – Children’s Musical “Christmas Rock” by Pandilla de Drilo. At the Teatro Municipal de Tias.
Monday 5th
11.30am – Arrival of Their Majesties the Three Kings to the Puerto del Carmen. Parade down Calle Teide to Calle Los Afrechos. Children’s letters will be collected in Plaza del Varadero.
6pm – Parade of the Three Kings in Tías from the roundabout at the intersection of Calle Pérez Galdós passing through Avenida Central Alcalde Florencio Suárez and Calle Libertad. Children’s letters will be collected at the Francisco Bermúdez Hernández Football Field.
