A 13-year-old boy from Arrecife who went missing on Wednesday has turned up safe and sound at his grandmother’s house, and appears to have some explaining to do.
The child, named Carlos, was reported missing on social media on Wednesday, causing widespread concern and offers of assistance on social media.
Yesterday evening, the boy turned up at his grandmother’s house at around 8pm. The boy’s mother posted a message saying “A thousand thanks. He’s turned up at my mother’s house and I’m rushing to see how he is.” She added “These have been days and nights of despair, but the networks have proved to be good for something.”
