Two men who took a Christmas dip at Los Pocillos beach in Puerto del Carmen had to be rescued by lifesavers yesterday afternoon.
The men, aged 22 and 47, were reported to have got into difficulties at 6.12 pm. A lifesaver reached the men and managed to keep them afloat until further help arrived. The men were then transferred to the Dr José Molina Orosa Hospital, and the older one was reported to have “moderate symptoms of half-drowning.”
