Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow alert for high winds, beginning at 6 am on Thursday 4th June and ending at midnight on the same day.

The forecast is for north-easterly gusts that could reach 70 kph, which will affect the south-facing slopes of Lanzarote in particular.

AEMET is also predicting a 75% probability of scattered rainfall on Friday morning, which is forecast to be a cloudy day. Things should return to normal by the weekend, with bright sunshine, some clouds and moderate northerly breezes. Temperatures will remain in the low 20s.
