Yellow alerts for wind, rough seas and calima conditions have been issued for this Monday, with the calima warning extending until Tuesday night.
Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued the following yellow alerts for Lanzarote.
Wind: From 9 am on Monday 30th March until midnight. Wind from the north-east with gusts up to 70 kph.
High seas: From 11 am on Monday 30th March until midnight. Swells from the north-east with waves of up to 4 metres.
Calima (dust in the air): From 12 noon on Monday 30th March until midnight on Tuesday 31st March. Visibility reduced to 3 kms. Significant haze at ground level and higher altitudes.
Yellow is the lowest level of alert, at which citizens are advised to remain informed and perhaps reconsider activities that may be affected.
Bright sunshine is also forecast for today, with temperatures in the high teens.
