A warm, breezy day is forecast for Saturday 12th September, bringing fairly good conditions for the thousands of pilgrims who will be making their way to Mancha Blanca on foot.
Most pilgrims will journey from Tías and San Bartolomé, where bright sunshine, temperatures in the high 20s and winds of up to 40 kph are forecast. However, the outlook for Tinajo is cloudier and cooler, with less wind, which is likely to bring welcome relief.
Anyone travelling in the central part of the island should be aware that several roads around Mancha Blanca will be closed temporarily.
Next week it is forecast that the northern alisio winds will weaken, allowing gentler south winds to enter and possibly causing another minor heatwave.
