Two children rescued in Arrecife after inflatable drifted out to sea

Two children were rescued at Playa Reducto in Arrecife on Saturday after their inflatable drifted out to sea.

According to municipal lifeguards, the mother of the children said she had just “gone to get something from her car”, and the children, a boy and girl aged eight and nine years took advantage of her absence to launch the inflatable.

This was blown out to sea by the wind and the lifeguards finally rescued the children when it was 200 metres from shore. Both were unharmed.
