More than 30% of holidaymakers visiting Lanzarote now choose the all-inclusive option for their stay, according to the latest official data.

The figure places Lanzarote second in the Canary Islands for all-inclusive bookings, behind only Fuerteventura.

Data from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics, show that 30.4% of tourists coming to Lanzarote book accommodation that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is slightly above the regional average for the archipelago.

Fuerteventura leads the region by a significant margin, with nearly half of its visitors – 49.9% – opting for all-inclusive packages. Lanzarote follows in second place, ahead of Gran Canaria (28.4%), Tenerife (22%) and La Palma (18.5%). The data does not include La Gomera, El Hierro or La Graciosa.

When it comes to accommodation choices on Lanzarote, just over half of tourists (50.9%) stay in hotels. While this remains the most popular option on the island, it is actually the lowest hotel share recorded anywhere in the Canary Islands. A further 28.7% of visitors choose other types of accommodation, and 20.4% opt for traditional apartments and holiday villas. Among hotel categories, four-star properties are the most sought after, accounting for 30.8% of hotel stays.

Interestingly, despite the strong take-up of all-inclusive deals, the majority of tourists arriving on Lanzarote continue to book accommodation only. At 39.8%, this is the highest proportion in the entire archipelago.

The data also reveals that Lanzarote enjoys exceptional loyalty from its visitors. The island records the highest percentage of repeat tourism in the Canaries, with 70.8% of tourists who have previously visited Lanzarote choosing to return to the same island on their next trip to the region.
