A fresh campaign to promote the municipality of Teguise is now underway, built around the central slogan, ‘Teguise. More than just a stopover.’
Sponsored by the Teguise Ayuntamiento, the initiative will run for several weeks and follows a similar strategic approach to the campaigns rolled out in 2024 and 2025. The primary channels for this promotional drive will include advertising at airports and on buses, features in magazines, and a strong presence across digital media.
Designed to appeal to those already in Lanzarote, the campaign aims to encourage travellers to look beyond a fleeting visit. It invites them to delve deeper into the island’s offerings, connecting with the history, towns, landscapes, culture, and daily rhythm of life that define Teguise.
The creative concept is brought to life through a series of evocative messages: ‘Breathe’, ‘Lose Yourself’, ‘Feel It’ and ‘Live It’. These phrases are intended to reinforce the idea that Teguise offers more than just a brief stop; it is a destination in its own right where visitors can pause, savour the moment, and truly connect with their surroundings.
Councillor for Tourism, Rita Hernández, explained the vision behind the project. “This campaign reflects who we are and is not limited to showcasing tourist resources, but seeks to convey our essence, our heritage, our identity, and the way we live here,” she said.
The campaign represents the latest step in the Ayuntamiento’s ongoing commitment to a “tourism model that prioritises quality and authentic experience.” According to a statement released to the public, this approach is firmly aligned with the unique identity of the municipality.
Mayor Olivia Duque highlighted the importance of sustainable and respectful growth. “The Ayuntamiento continues to work towards a tourism model that respects our identity and is committed to quality, promoting balanced development that benefits the municipality and projects a true image of what Teguise is,” she stated.
