San Bartolomé Animal Protection Centre (Centro de Protección Animal) has launched a website aimed at attracting volunteers, promoting the adoption and fostering of animals and helping find lost pets.

Fernando Vadillo, San Bartolomé’s Councillor for Animal Welfare, said that “this website is born with the aim of making the work carried out from the Animal Protection Centre more accessible and transparent, valuing the joint work between municipal management, the professional team and volunteers”.

“The role of volunteers is fundamental”, he added “As they contribute to the emotional welfare of the animals through walks and socialization, thus increasing their chances of adoption”.

Among the services highlighted on the site is a fostering initiative, which provides temporary care for animals that may be vulnerable, such as puppies, pregnant animals or those recovering from surgery.
