The Papagayo Campground has strengthened its facilities and services for the 2026 summer season following strong demand and consistently high occupancy.

Cabildo President Oswaldo Betancort welcomed the positive public response, describing the site as a modern, comfortable, and environmentally responsible camping destination set within one of Lanzarote’s most scenic natural areas.

Samuel Martín, the councillor responsible for camping, said the campground’s digital booking system is operating efficiently, allowing visitors to reserve pitches and check real-time availability through the official website.

Facilities and Services

The campsite offers around 260 pitches designed to accommodate motorhomes, large caravans, and smaller camping units. Dedicated areas are available for guests with reduced mobility, pet owners, longer stays of five days or more, and shorter visits of between two and four days.

Facilities include:

  • Accessible restroom blocks and showers.
  • Indoor and outdoor shower facilities.
  • Drinking water refill points.
  • Individual wastewater connections at each pitch.
  • An outdoor sewage disposal point.
  • Night-time lighting throughout the site.
  • Electrical hookups available daily from 10:00am to 11:00pm.
  • 24-hour security.
  • A wheelchair-accessible ramp to the beach.
  • Designated barbecue areas.

The campground remains open until 4 October, with visitors encouraged to check the official website before travelling for the latest availability and booking information.

Pets are permitted only on designated pitches and must remain on a lead at all times. They are not allowed on Papagayo Beach.

For further information, visitors can contact the campground by telephone on 828 181 555 (Monday to Friday, 12:00pm to 2:00pm), via the official Papagayo Campground website, or by email.
