Lanzarote Hotels Earn €60 Million in June as Revenue Climbs Nearly 13%

Hotels across Lanzarote generated €60 million in revenue during June, marking a 12.9% increase compared with the €53.2 million recorded in the same month last year.

The rise in revenue was driven by a combination of higher room rates and an increase in visitor numbers. Average hotel prices rose by 10.6% year-on-year, with guests paying an average of €133.88 per night in June, up from €121.01 in June 2025.

Hotels also welcomed more visitors, with the number of travellers staying in accommodation on the island increasing by 4.1%. This represented almost 6,800 additional guests, bringing the total to 172,740 hotel visitors during the month.

While visitor numbers grew, overnight stays saw only a modest increase of 0.8%, rising from 976,846 in June 2025 to 984,581 this year.

Despite the positive performance, hotel occupancy edged down to 81.37%, compared with 84.17% a year earlier. The lower occupancy rate was largely the result of increased accommodation capacity rather than weaker demand. The number of available hotel rooms expanded by 5.2%, from 40,583 in June 2025 to 42,676 this June.

Employment in the hotel sector also continued its strong upward trend. Hotels employed 11,007 people in June, an increase of 14.7% compared with the 9,598 workers recorded during the same month last year.
